DANIELLA GONELLA is the founder of DG Productions, a relatively new company and one of the forerunners in a new generation of filmmakers.
DG Productions has a portfolio of diverse film projects in different stages of development, ranging from the multi-million dollar dark suspense spiritual thriller History of Demons to the music driven computer generated animation movie Superhumans .
DG Productions is also developing Rick Friend's historical epic Non Possumus – the controversial and true story of Jewish boy Edgardo Mortara who was abducted by Pope Pius IX in the mid 19 th Century and his gripping emotional drama Bornholm .
In TV, they have covered all aspects of the television spectrum, from prime-time entertainment and commercials to news and current affairs. They are currently producing the exciting new sitcom Merseydoc, directed by Dewi Humphries, Boxing Academy a series which takes a group of youths from the ghetto to the Olympics presented by Lloyd Honeyghan former World Welterweight Champion and contemporary art show, Under My Skin, presented by portrait artist Georgea Blakey.
In theatre, DG Productions have produced shows such as the musical White Folks, written and directed by Ray Shell at the Pleasance Theatre, the controversial musical drama, Victory, written and directed by Rick Friend, at the Donmar Warehouse, the charity concert Football Reaching Out For Africa directed by Dougie Squires at The Royal Albert Hall and the Peter Cook Tribute Concert For Pete's Sake, directed by Bob Spiers at the Dominion Theatre.
